Lately X and I have been roaming the realm of DDO or Dungeons and Dragons Online, as well as Atlantica Online, and only getting on Wizard to do our gardens, and Malistaire on the Legend twins. So, I’m dedicating an actual entry toward the other games.
Now, with Atlantica Online, I think X and I both agree that, despite its turn based like Wizard101, we don’t really like it as much since its too confusing in the battle scenes. One round you have like four times to hit the enemies, then next round you can only hit once and it doesn’t even explain why that is in the tutorial. So, I’ve pretty much given up on this game despite I might go back once in a while when I’m bored out of my mind.
With DDO, I have actually taken a liking to this game quite a bit. It’s not turn based like Wizard101 is, but you can choose many different attack styles, races, classes, and the place is massive from what we’ve been able to tell. The graphics for wizard are nothing compared to DDO. My only issue is this.. When there is a lot of people on, which seems to be a lot every day, almost all day long, my computer has a hard time handling the graphics, and the crowds. It’s ten times worse than the commons area on ambrose. I can’t take more than two or three steps, if even that, within a ten minute time period.
Despite that though, since X and I have done a few quests and I definitely like the game a lot. With both games though, its hard to say “I like this this and this, and its better.” about either one, since they both are completely different from one another. DDO is more adult friendly where as Wizard is more kid friendly despite adults and kids alike plays. DDO isn’t cartoonish chars.
I can’t really say that I’m fully back into playing wizard101 though, since lately I’ve been completely bored (for lack of a better word) with it, since I’ve done everything. Technically, I’ve not done everything, but, its repetitive, and at least with DDO its repetitive in a completely different way. That’s a plus for me, but, I still want to play wizard. I guess I just need to find something that totally interests me until I can find the swing of thing. I haven’t even felt like blogging and I’m suppose to be blogging more. >.<
Do any of you play DDO or Atlantica? Or, are we the only wizards that do?
Here’s to finding my path again. Happy playing all.

I know how you guys feel, I wander away from Wizard101 on an occasion, usually going on Runescape to level up my character a bit or do a quest or two. Its alot different from W101, but its hard to say ones better. Runescape has such diversity in its skills and in-game history, while I love the W101 feel of battling and housing. Sometimes on W101 if I want to kill a few hours(or days) I start working on furniture glitches, like the rug bridges. Once you get the hang of it, its really pretty fun, and always makes your house the party hotspot.
We've played runescape, but its been since before we found wizard that we played it. It was okay, but really complicated to understand.
I myself am not big on floating rugs, etc at my house. I just don't care to have them. It's pretty neat to play on at other peoples places though.
Z is more in to that stuff, he's been playing around with some of that stuff at his massive fantasy palace.
