..that something so rewarding, could turn in to something so ugly. So, today, had a bit of confrontation from someone on twitter, who apparently is offended (at least it would seem that way by how they reacted, and then acted) about the fact that I personally received 2k crowns from KI for completing the survey. I remember perfectly it told me 2k. When my sister first told me about the survey, she told me “hey, they have a survey up to get 2k crowns. Be sure to take it.”
And today was the day when we were supposed to get our crowns. I am in fact +2k richer. This makes me happy. I was thinking of all the things I could get with this 2k crowns. Now, I want to take it and throw it out the window. But I can’t. Because it’s a game. And I can’t really take what’s in the game and throw it away, now can I? At least not currency. Unless I bought something with it, and then trashed that item. But, what good would that do?
Maybe I should write to KI and ask them to please take the crowns back. I don’t know. Personally, I don’t even want to sign in to wizard right now, this has me so upset. Saying that I was rude to them. Sorry, but all I said was that I got my 2k crowns, and then they took 1k back. (But according to other twitterbytes by twizards, they too were missing 1k at that time.) It was even brought to our attn that KI had put up an announcement on the launcher saying that all missing crowns will be replaced. Which they were. Thank you KI.
Then they took the announcement down because all was right with in the spiral. But, apparently not so right out of the spiral. I don’t know why they gave me 2k crowns. I just know they did. But this person had to make a big deal out of it, and demanding that I show proof that the survey said they would give me 2k crowns. How can I show proof of that? I didn’t think “hey I should print screen this because I may need it later to prove that it says I’m getting 2k” when I read the terms, and agreed to take the survey.
I didn’t think that not everyone was going to get 2k, because well.. at the time since twitter wasn’t big for me because of not being able to keep a browser open at the same time as playing wizard, I didn’t know anything different. After all, the only two people that I kept in regular contact with, that played wizard, were both saying 2k. 2k is what Zaolan got. And I’m sure 2k is what my sister got. It’s not a big deal. And I kept trying to let them know, to just drop it. Why they were attacking me via tweets about it, I have no idea.
They didn’t have to believe I got 2k. Who cares. I don’t care if they believe me. The issue wasn’t that I got 2k, and others got 1k. NO ONE was even speaking about this any more. It was said, and that was that. It was dropped. We were just all happy to have gotten the money back that KI accidently took, after giving it. Had they not given me the 1k back, and left me with just having received 1k. I would have been happy. Because it was STILL 1k more than what I had before.
I’m not okay. I don’t appreciate the way I was attacked, and for what. And then accused for being rude. I’m always polite. I am always thinking more about others feelings than my own. But whatever. I’m done with this. I just needed to get it out, and speak my mind. Because twitter doesn’t allow enough words. Commenting will be off for this post, as the topic for me is done.
